Abby Turton

Chief Executive

Abby has been a part of the Emotional Logic team since 2004. Past roles have included research and administration. Abby is now focused on the development and sustainability of the Emotional Logic Centre, and is excited about providing training and support internationally. She is also an Emotional Logic Coach and runs training for new Coaches.

Alongside this Abby is also a Play Therapist based in Gloucestershire and is passionate about a whole family approach to therapy and support. She lives near Chepstow with her husband and children and they are keen on walking in the Forest of Dean. However you are just as likely to find her curled up with a good book!

Christiaan Stirling

Education Lead

Christiaan joined The Emotional Logic team in 2015.

As part of his COO role, Christiaan specialises in providing advice and training for school leaders, pupils and families across the UK and overseas. For the last 25 years Christiaan has worked in a range of schools in a variety of leadership roles, including Headteacher. He has many years’ experience as a school Governor in both the primary and secondary sectors and is currently a Director of a successful secondary school in Cornwall.

Christiaan is a qualified Emotional Logic Coach, a member of Plymouth City Council’s Foster Panel and part of Plymouth’s Multi Agency Support Team. He also manages to find time to run his own business, Exciting Education. Outside of work, you’ll often find Christiaan exploring the Dartmoor Tors with his wife and two sons or out on the waves on his body board. He’s also partial to a good cup of coffee.

Sven Lauch

Business Lead

Sven has been using Emotional Logic since 2018 and became part of the Emotional Logic Centre team in 2025. As Business Lead, he supports the Centre’s growth and sustainability, helping to bring Emotional Logic into more organisations and communities.

Alongside this, Sven is Director of Eyes Up Training Limited, where he applies the Emotional Logic method to workplace resilience, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution training and coaching. His focus is on making Emotional Logic practical and accessible so people can think clearly under pressure, respond purposefully to secondary trauma and change, and have more constructive conversations at work.

Married for 20 years and a parent to a teenager, Sven brings a grounded, real-life perspective to how people navigate challenge—both at work and at home.

Marian Langsford

Health and Social Care Lead

Marian is a retired family doctor who discovered the amazing power of EL to untangle complex emotional states while using it with her patients. She continues to do one to one or family personal learning appointments and to teach medical students at Plymouth Peninsula University School of Medicine and Dentistry as well as training EL coaches and trainers across many disciplines and several countries.

Lynne Kennedy

Administration and PA to the CEO

Lynne is a self employed Administrative and Finance Virtual Assistant. She has been involved with the Emotional Logic Centre for 4 years. She has excellent administration, finance and grant writing capabilities and supports the charity in many ways.

Rob Cowsill

Trustee

Rob has been a Trustee of Emotional Logic Centre since July 2022.
Rob’s background is in finance having completed a Master of Science degree in the subject prior to qualifying as an Independent Financial Adviser. He is a director at SW Law & Finance and provides a legal and financial oversight for the charity.

In addition, Rob is a director at Ivybridge Brewing Company which is a not-for-profit C.I.C providing opportunity, work and community to those with learning difficulties and autism.

Rob is a firm believer in Emotional Logic having benefitted from the programme himself and when [finally] away from his desk, enjoys the beautiful South West; particularly taking his beloved dogs out.

Zoe Jagelman

Chair of Trustees

Zoe’s background is in Education. She was a primary school teacher for 10 years working as far afield as the Falkland Islands. She now works as head of Education for Mathnasium in the UK, supporting a franchise network delivering out of school maths education.  Zoe has been involved with Emotional Logic for several years having worked with small team to develop the initial schools resources. She now supports the Emotional Logic centre as a Trustee. When not working she may be found on the hills or by the sea, pursuing her hobby of bookbinding or being kept busy by her energetic nephews.

Laura Curtis

Trustee

I trained as a primary school teacher and followed an interest in special needs and nurture. I have taught all ages including adults in a variety of settings including military. I now focus on working with young people not accessing education and provide online and in person tuition.  Emotional logic fits in with my teaching ethos and I use it to support my students.

Gill Cowsill

Trustee

Gill has been involved with the Emotional Logic Centre for many years and is a longstanding member of the trustee board. For forty years she was manager of the RNIB Transcription Centre in Ivybridge providing a range of accessible information and brings experience of charity sector operational management, community engagement and liaison with volunteers.

Now retired, she enjoys a range of outdoor pastimes including walking, gardening and photography alongside Church activities, family and friends.
