Emotional Logic in Health and Social Care
Emotional Logic was developed by a doctor in the 1990s. Evidence from a UK medical practice shows that it is safe and highly effective in healthcare as an alternative to cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). It empowers adults to move on from anxiety, mild to moderate depression, and relationship problems.
Emotional Logic works well in family settings. Our lead healthcare tutors are a family therapist and an occupational therapist. Many counsellors and therapists have included Emotional Logic in their range of skills. They find it rapidly gets conversations to the most important emotional level to address issues.
The method’s wider evidence base includes the learning theory used in schools (where emotional literacy education is government policy), the neuroscience of emotion for building relationships, and systemic family therapy. Its background is ‘Emotional Chaos Theory’, based in the New Science of how order emerges out of chaos by conversational feedback.
"It provides such an easy way in. It could take three months of counselling
to get to this level. It is as though people are hungry for it. Why has
no-one ever thought of this before?"
