Ways to Learn

Specialists who want to include Emotional Logic in their work will find that Advanced Emotional Logic skills are essential. Opportunities for reflective practice at Specialist Level should be sought during Advanced studies.

Reflective Practice opportunities include:

  • ‘Supported Introduction to Practice’ half-day or day workshops (SIPs), based on anonymous case histories and personal stories. Equivalent to group supervision, mixing with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Individual supervision sessions based around your Task Book.
  • Try the Exercises in Tutorial 6, a non-marked Masterclass that ties your existing knowledge together around the benefits of and conflict between personal development and community development, with special emphasis on oppressive relationships.
  • Contribute your stories and responses to the threads in the learning community forum.

Some Specialists may also find the in-house Tutor Training scheme helpful to diversify the way they temporarily change the ‘contract’ with their client into a lifelong learning mode, for example; give self-directed learning resources and build ‘creative conversations’ around them later, reverting to other methods as appropriate to the work that needs doing.
