Training and Coaching

You can choose how deeply you want to let Emotional Logic work in your life. It could even become a career. EL courses will enable you to obtain NVQ credits validated by the Open College Network SW. For an informal chat about what’s best for you, please get in touch.

Whenever possible, courses and workshops are arranged so that like-minded individuals or people from a similar profession are working together. This means, for example, that if you are a welfare officer you will be working with other welfare officers or people from a similar environment.

EL self-helper [NVQ Level 2]
Learn how to use EL for self-help, and to be able to identify and communicate your own feelings to family members, friends, neighbours or colleagues. This will also help you to recognise reasons why others behave the way they do.

• Core training, either as:
A two-day course, or Distance Learning Tutorials 1 – 3, or Four Personal Learning Appointments

EL Support Worker [NVQ Level 2]
Learn how to use EL to guide the way you talk, helpfully and supportively in informal settings, with other people who are experiencing disappointment, distress or confusion during times of change.

In a home, school or social environment: confidently know how to support your friends and family, other parents, or colleagues within any organisation.

In a working environment: typically you might use EL as a manager, supervisor, teacher or personnel officer.
• Core training (as above)
• Practical workshops based on real life situations, and/or telephone mentoring and supervision

EL Tutor [NVQ Level 3]
Learn to use EL in professional, structured settings, in small groups or one-to-one sessions, with people who feel stuck with problems that have arisen from deep levels of emotional overload or confusion.

To progress from Core training directly to training as an EL Tutor would enable you to include this lifelong learning approach in the range of skills you employ in voluntary or statutory settings. Typically you might be a welfare officer, counsellor, life coach, psychologist, mental health or social care worker, youth counsellor, probation officer, family worker, special educational worker, etc.

• Core training with a follow-on workshop or telephone mentoring
(as for a support worker)
• Advanced Distance Learning Modules 4 & 5, and Masterclass Module 6,
with workshops or telephone mentoring.

An EL Telephone Mentor
Learn to support others one-to-one, on the telephone or using Skype, to help them apply the Distance Learning Modules to their own personal and professional development.

Advanced and Masterclass training, plus:
• A completed Task Book showing how you have used different features of EL over a period of time as you gained experience of the diverse ways that people react to disappointments and recover their motivation for personal development.
• Training in ‘lifelong learning’ method.

underline

An EL Teacher
