TUTOR TRAINING WORKSHOPS
The first three days can be followed with selective events to suit a trainee Tutor’s preferences.
Day 1

Organisational features of being an Emotional Logic Tutor.
Day 2
Knowledge check on detecting the six common whirlpools of emotion in the way people tell the story of their situations.
Revising lifelong learning methods to improve understanding.
Becoming thoroughly familiar with the first five Distance Learning tutorials.
Practical training to teach at Core Level from the tutorials non-visually, as if on the telephone.
Relating ‘Optional Handouts’ to the tutorials.
Organisational features of being an Emotional Logic Tutor.
Day 3
The differences between lifelong learning and counselling.
The differences between learning groups and therapy groups.
Teaching how emotions fulfil their purpose in those relational systems (in families, workplaces, communities, and so on) in which individuals develop their sense of personal identity.
The value of ‘pair working’ for learning and personal development.
The value of ‘learning checks’ and feed-back techniques for lifelong learning.
Practical exercises to include these methods in Personal Learning Appointments (PLAs) using the Activity pack, full sets of Loss Cards and Optional Handouts.
Constructing a Learning Plan with learners in a PLA
Organisational features of being an Emotional Logic Tutor.
Telephone Mentor Training
Opportunities to practice the learning principles for Core and (optionally) Advanced tutorials, using role play and feedback.
Peer assessment of effectiveness; and constructing a self-directed future learning plan for Continuous Professional Development.

Personal Learning Training
Role play and feedback to practice working with individuals and couples.
