Recording twenty 'Creative Conversations'
Followiing
the three-day course, trainee tutors use the Tutor Pack to have and record conversaations in which they include teaching about Emotional Logic. These conversations can be in informal settings at home, work or in various social environments. We recommend that care professionals first practice with family and friends , and then include this teaching with clients in thier more formal settings.
A supervisor will review the recorded conversations, and discuss whether the learner would be willing to try a video or audio recording, or a role play with the supervisor, to improve feedback and reflective learning.
Internal Assessment
Learners can record or write answers. There will be [a] a series of test questions, [b] write-up or present two cases histories from their recorded conversations showing their understanidng of lifelong learning principles in the way they have taught Emotional Logic, [c] a role play of part of a Personal Learning Appointment with an examiner, [d] an oral test of the learners understanding of organisational features of their relation to the Emotional Logic Centre and Tutor College.
External Assessment
The student will have been registered with the Open College Network (SW Region) at the start of the three-day course. The series of test questions completed as part of the internal assessment will be submitted for external review to the Open College Network, and if they approve the standard achieved, Credits will be awarded.
Approval, Registration and Annual Appraisal
A Certifiacate is issued with a License to call yourself an Approved Emotional Logic Tutor. Your name will appear on a list accessible from the website so that potential learners can confirm your approved status. You will become a member of the Tutor College, which means you may be approached via The Agency and offered PLA work with people who have contacted the office to ask for help, or contracted work in various settings in which you feel comfortable, such as commercial, healthcare, education, re-settlement of families, and so on. You will be able to advertise yourself, and set up your own business as an Emotional Logic Tutor. The Tutor College will have a continuing interest in the quality of your work, and you will be invited to participate in a Continuing Professional Development system with Annual Appraisal.
Progression to Teacher and Learning Club Leader
Once approved as an Emotional Logic Tutor, you will have had experience with individuals and couples of the variety of ways that people present their unrecognised grieving in their lifestyles, and you will have gained an overview of Emotional Logic that will enable you to answer questions constructively from people coming new to Emotional Logic. You are now well-placed to teach in a class day-workshop setting, or in the greater flexibility of a Learning Club, but there are some extra skills needed to teach a group over and above those needed to have a Personal Learning Appointment with an individual or couple or pair of friends. The Tutor College provides opportunities to practice those skills - usually an entertaining day!
